Pumpkin Waffles with Maple Glaze

Pumpkin Bread & Maple Glaze Mix is back at Tastefully Simple. Yay! This sweet bread is one of my all-time favorites. It tastes like fall and rivals anything you would get in your neighborhood coffee shop.

“I thought this blog was about waffles,” you might be saying. Well, you are right! I used the Pumpkin Bread Mix to make waffle batter … and it was amazing. Seriously, you’ve got to try it. View recipe »

To create the batter, simply stir together the Pumpkin Bread Mix with 1-1/4 cups milk and 2 large eggs. Avoid overmixing; the batter wil be slightly lumpy. Then use your waffle iron as normal to bake the waffles. Easy-peasy!

The Pumpkin Bread Mix comes with a mix for maple glaze. Mix it up by adding 1 tablespoon melted butter and 1 tablespoon water; drizzle over the waffles in place of syrup. My family and I added some fun toppings (chocolate chips and whipped cream were favorites). My personal favorite way to top the pumpkin waffles is with fresh banana slices, a little maple glaze drizzle and whipped cream.

If you’re looking for a fun new breakfast idea or a way to spice up weekend brunch, give pumpkin waffles a try.

In fact, did you know that you can turn any Tastefully Simple pound cake mix into waffles? You can. And you should try those too. After making pumpkin waffles, I’d recommend Sunny Lemon Waffles next.

Enjoy!
