Here at Tastefully Simple, we celebrate wings every day! Chicken wings aren’t just for game day or happy hour. As a matter of fact, we love chicken wings because they can be enjoyed any day of the week. They may be a little messy to eat, but that’s all part of the delicious experience of chicken wings! To celebrate National Chicken Wing Day, learn how to make them at home and upgrade your chicken nugget game.
At Tastefully Simple, we are mighty proud of the many sauces we have to offer. Having such a vast selection comes in handy when wanting to make chicken wings – the choices are endless! Before you start on your chicken wing journey, feel free to head over to our sauce selection to see what sauce catches your eye. Whether you like a classic Smoky Bacon BBQ Sauce or Honey Teriyaki Sauce, or you want to try something more unique, this recipe has you and your chicken wings covered.
For today’s recipe example, we decided to get saucy with our Vidalia® Onion Dressing. We picked this one because it’s not your usual go-to sauce choice for wings and what better way to celebrate National Chicken Wing day than to be bold? As a wing sauce, trust us this did not disappoint.
The original recipe on our website is for Slow Cooked Vidalia Onion Chicken Wings, but we know not everyone has that kind of time on their hands, so we improvised for you a little and sped up the process. Half the time without losing any deliciousness is sure to leave you happy!
chicken wings to your table. First, add your chicken wings to a large bowl and
salt and pepper them to taste. We suggest our Seasoned Salt and Seasoned
Pepper to add a little extra oomph.
Next, coat the chicken with Vidalia® Onion Dressing. No measurement is
necessary – just wing it based on how saucy you like them!
Place the chicken on a greased or foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F for
60-70 minutes.
Halfway through baking, brush both sides of each wing with more dressing. We
like our wings to be a crispy, golden brown before taking them out.
Use the remaining Vidalia® Onion Dressing as a dipping sauce and enjoy the
sweet and tangy flavors of our favorite chicken wing recipe! How are you
