Have you tried Citrus Glazed Pineapple Cake Mix yet? Let me tell you, this deliciously sweet, gooey cake sure is a hit with my family. And the glaze? It’s citrus flavor complements the cake so well, I’m almost drooling right now, just thinking about it.
The first time I baked this up, I was a little surprised that it stays on the gooey side. I love gooey things, so this was a win for me. And then – the glaze. Did I mention that it’s citrus flavor? Right. (Drool.) Pro tip: You can sub 1 (15 ounce) can of mango in this cake for a different cake flavor.
If you don’t have an 8×8-inch pan, bake this in a 9-inch spring-form pan and top with citrus-flavored whipped topping. Hot dog, is this ever tasty! You’ll be on cloud nine with this recipe. (Ha!)
Looking for something more bite-sized? Pour the batter into the Silicone Bar Pan, top with glaze, pineapple chunks and cherries for an impressive-looking treat! I’d recommend spraying the pan, since the little cakes take a little nudging to get them out.
Piña colada, anyone? Layering the cubed pineapple cake with citrus whip topping, fresh pineapple and bananas pretty much tastes like a tropical vacation and a piña colada.
Have you tried this cake yet? Let me know what you think!
Happy summer everyone,
Rebecca
